Why is it important to change the oil and filters in your generator?
Oil is essential to prevent wear and tear on the internal parts of the engine, and optimises its perfor-mance and durability.
A failure to change oil and filters in your generator as part of its scheduled maintenance programme will result in a loss of lubrication, damage to injectors, etc., causing engine wear and leading it to malfunction. Performing periodic maintenance is crucial. The oil we provide is PETRONAS Urania 800 15W-40 (first-rate oil).
Why is it important to change the air filter in your generator?
An air filter that’s in poor condition affects both the engine’s and the generator’s performance, and may even cause significant breakdowns. It can also result in reduced engine power and an increase in fuel consumption, as well as pollution. We recommend that oil and gas filters be changed around every 250 hours of operation and that air filters be changed around every 1,000 hours (values in a normal environment; we will advise you as to what steps to take for particularly dusty environ-ments).
